Why?

The question is; Is it how the tenants are living or issues with the property?

Tenants or Property?

β€œTo effectively address and completely eliminate the impact [mould], it is essential to first gain a comprehensive understanding and correctly diagnose the cause.” WB

Prior to eliminating the underlying issue, it is critical to perform a comprehensive analysis using detailed environmental parameters such as thermal imaging, humidity levels, temperature fluctuations, and dew point data.

By leveraging the 1,814,400 data sets collected, we can precisely diagnose the root cause of the problem, enabling the development of a long-lasting and technically robust solution.

As you will be aware, in December 2020, two-year-old Awaab Ishak tragically died in Rochdale, [Greater Manchester], due to a severe respiratory condition caused by prolonged exposure to black mould in his family's flat.

The coroner's report highlighted that the property, managed by Rochdale Boroughwide Housing (RBH), suffered from inadequate ventilation, leading to excessive dampness and mould growth. Despite multiple complaints from Awaab's parents, including a 2017 report where they were advised to paint over the mould, effective remedial action was not taken.

This case underscored significant failures in addressing housing health hazards and prompted calls for systemic reforms to prevent such tragedies in the future.
